We will do our best to detail all of the major events and those more off-beat events that are happening here in Puerto Rico. The events listed in this section are based on information obtained from online as well as local media. If you are planning on going to one of the events, please contact the organizers ahead of time, to make sure that the event is taking place.

This is a local music and dance show

Boheiam Nights

Last Friday of the month
This is a local music festival located at Degetau Street, Carolina

La Casita Festival

Saturday and Sunday near the Old San Juan piers from 6:00-8:00pm
Local artists and artisans gather at Plaza Danza

also on a Saturday and Sunday in the Plaza Darsena and Paseo de la Princesa, in Old San Juan, you will find local artists and artisans

Head out to the Rincon Lighthouse or one of Rincon’s beaches to watch the annual migration of humpback whales
Feb 10 – 16, Ponce Carnival
The annual Ponce carnival is the oldest and also one of the biggest celebrations on the island. This year the carnival celebrates its 152nd year. Music, dance parades and lots of local food

Feb 12 – 15, Cristobel Sanchez Festival in Arroyo
Festival celebrating the local poet with artisans, music and local food

Feb 12 – 14, Coffee Harvest Festival in Maricao
Annual festival celebrating the end of the coffee harvest. Local artisans, music and food plus exhibitions of past and present coffee harvesting equipment.

Feb 12 – 14, Festival del Chapín in Naguabo
The town of Naguabo holds its annual festival featuring foods made using the traditional "chapín" (a local fish. Other events include a boat regatta and various contests.

Feb 19 – 21, Feria Agrícola in Trujillo Alto
Agricultural fair highlighting the various crops produced from the area. Festival includes local music, exhibits and food kiosks.

Feb 19 – 21, NCAA Puerto Rico Classic Women's Tournament in Rio Grande
Womens Tournament featuring the top college players.

Feb 21, World's Best 10K Race at the Teodoro Moscoso Bridge, San Juan
Some of the world’s top athletes will be taking part in this annual event. You can too.

Feb 26 – 28, Carnaval Mabó in Guaynabo
Annual carnival held in honor of the local Indian chieftain Mabó. There will be parades, local music, food and artist exhibits and food kiosks. The carnival ends with the Entierro de la Sardina (Burial of the Sardine).

17th annual surfing competition, featuring surfers from around the world.

March 7, Roselyn Sanchez Triathlon For Life @ San Juan
Puerto Rican actress Roselyn Sanchez is hosting the first Triathlon for Life, with proceeds going to two local charities; San Jorge Childrens Foundation and La Casa Cuna de San Juan
