San Juan International Artisan’s Fair 2010

This weekend Old San Juan will be celebrating the 4th San Juan International Artisan’s Fair, known locally as FERINART 2010. This years festival takes place in Plaza Colón and Plaza Arturo Somohano, Old San Juan from April 30 – May 9, 2010.
There will be around 200 artisans taking part in the event including 125 local Puerto Rican artisans and around 70 artisans from 32 other countries.
Along with the crafts that will be on display the festival will have music, local Puerto Rican foods, conferences, demonstrations and craft workshops, as well as children’s entertainment.
Some of the countries taking part along with Puerto Rico include: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Columbia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Germany, Guadalupe, Guatemala, Haiti, Japan, Mexico, Martinique, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Tanzania, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela
As you can see this is a truly international event.
On weekends the festival starts around lunchtime and weekends at around 8:30-9:00am. You can find a full calendar of events here
