Concerts in July in Puerto Rico
July is a busy month for music here in Puerto Rico, with headliners such as Gwen Stafani and English Pop duo Erasure topping the bill. So here is a list of some of the concerts taking place in July:
White Lion at The Arena on Friday, July 6, 2007
This is a band that I have never heard before, but apparently White Lion were a hard rock band that were around in the 1980s and early 1990s. They were formed in New York City in 1983 by Danish-born vocalist Mike Tramp and guitarist Vito Bratta. I am not sure what the current line-up is for this concert.
Edwin Cotto at the Centro de Bellas Artes – Sala de Festivales on Saturday, July 7, 2007
This will be a celebration of his musical career that spans 30. There will be special performances by Lourdes Toledo and Yamil Ledesma.
Erasure at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente on Friday, July 13, 2007
See Vince Clarke and Andy Bell perform there hits ‘Sometimes’, ‘The Circus’, ‘A little Respect’, ‘Chains of Love’ and many more. I’m sure you will recognize the songs as soon as they start to play.
Warped – The Amazing Red Hot Chilli Pepper Tribute at the Arecibo Ocean Front, Arecibo on Friday, July 13, 2007
The name of the band speaks for itself. How close they resemble the real thing is anyones guess, but as the Chili Peppers are currently not in Puerto Rico, it might be worth checking out, if you are in the area
