SoFo Culinary Week June 7 to June 10
South Fortaleza Street (Sofo) is known as one of the major culinary areas of Old San Juan, with restaurants such as; The Parrot Club, Tantra, Dragonfly and Aguaviva. This coming Thursday June 7 sees the start of the Sofo culinary week which lasts until Sunday June 10.
The SoFo Culinary week has become a feature of San Juan culinary life and this week’s event will be in full swing between 6pm – midnight Thursday, Friday, Saturday and 11am – 6pm Sunday, with a firework display on Sunday at 7pm to mark the closing of the festival.
Fortaleza street, as well as, nearby streets will be closed to traffic, transforming the area into a long plaza, allowing restaurants to place tables and food presentations along the route. There will be Puerto Rican cuisine, as well as, Brazilian, Spanish, French, Mediterranean, Italian and Mexican food. In addition there will be various music groups, and the ‘SoFo Band’ to entertain you.
