Live Earth The Concerts
At the moment there is not an event planned here in Puerto Rico, but I thought this is such an important issue that it deserves a spot on this site. On 7/7/07 the Live Earth Concerts to Combat Global Warming will take place. The 24 hour, 7 continent event will raise awareness to global warming and will hopefully help to make a difference to our planet.
The first two concerts have been announced for the USA and the UK. The USA concert will be held at the Giants Stadium in New Jersey and will feature:

Akon
KT Tunstall
Alicia Keys
Ludacris
Bon Jovi
Sheryl Crow
Melissa Etheridge
Dave Matthews Band
Rihanna
Fall Out Boy
Roger Waters

The Police
The UK concert will be held at the new Wembley Stadium and will feature:

Black Eyed Peas
Bloc Party
Corinne Bailey Rae
Damien Rice
David Gray
Duran Duran
Foo Fighters
Genesis
James Blunt
John Legend
Keane
Madonna
Paolo Nutini
Razorlight
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Snow Patrol
There are also plans for concerts in Sydney’s Aussie Stadium; Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach; Johannesburg’s Cradle of Human Kind; Tokyo’s Tokyo Dome and Shanghai (location TBD). There is no word on whether there will be a concert here in Puerto Rico.
