Flash Floods in Puerto Rico Apr 22
Well, we just got back from being caught in the heavy storm that has just dumped a lot of rain in the Guaynabo, Trujillo Alto and San Juan area. The rain was so heavy that flash flood warnings have been posted for Bayamon, Guaynabo, Trujillo Alto and San Juan and having been out in the storm, I would have to say that a lot of rain came down in a short period.
The rain was so heavy that several cars on the road had just stopped due to engine flooding, as they tried to drive through the flooded areas. The images here do not do justice to the amounts of water that were covering the main roads. As usual there was one or two drivers of big SUV’s just drove through the water as if it was not there, drenching the smaller cars that were taking it more cautiously.
