Was horrible. Service was poor and my wife had a bland salad with a bone in it. Mistakes happen but when we spooke with the owner or management. He took the salad off the table and asked no questions or seem to care. On top that we were still charged for the salad. The food was otherwise a 5 out of 10. Won’t be returning.

Erm, Kristina,
If you go to a restaurant called “Ropa Vieja” (meaning of a shredded cuban meat)How in the world did you order lobster ravioli in first place? It wasn’t an italian cuisine ristorante! When you go to a restaurant next time ask about their specialty and then you will have good food but don’t go to Burger King to eat Pizza! Also just to let you know, in the Caribbean we love greasy and extra fried food so I surely know his pork chops were good!

Maybe you and your husband should try the food the restaurant specializes in, Cuban/Puertorican cuisine. I have made 2 trips to PR, and stayed for 3+ days each time. The food at Ropa Vieja is sooo good and authentic, that I went back for the signature dish and mofungo 3-4 times within both trips!!

This was a great place to eat, food was fabulous, service was great, price was reasonable. There was 5 of us and we all loved it. If we had stayed in PR longer we would have eaten there again!

Don’t go to Ropa Vieja Grill!! We just got back from Puerto Rico. We had heard so many good things about this place that we decided we would go there for our last meal in Puerto Rico. BIG MISTAKE!!! The service was bad and the food was horrible. I ordered lobster ravioli and got old frozen pasta with a mashed up unidentifiable paste inside it, covered with a white, greasy sauce. My husband ordered pork chops which arrived deep fried and so tough that he couldn’t even chew them. There was so much grease on his plate, it was just disgusting. The black beans that accompanied his dish tasted horrible. I can’t even understand how they could be that bad. I saw people stopping to read the menu outside and seriously, I went outside to warn them about the place. Go anywhere but here!!! I think Gordon Ramsay needs to make a trip there for the next season of Kitchen Nightmares.
